Prisionero

Prisionero is a haunting, emotionally charged portrait that speaks to the silencing of queer identities through history and memory. With heavy contrasts, shadowed features, and expressive textures, LOST KID presents a figure both present and obscured—partly erased, partly defiant. The use of the pink triangle subtly references the persecution of LGBTQ+ people, while the subject’s closed eyes suggest both internal resistance and enduring pain. This work is a powerful meditation on identity, oppression, and resilience—evoking those who have been imprisoned for who they are, and those who continue to resist invisibility.
