FAQ
What is Queer Art?
Queer Art is a platform dedicated to showcasing contemporary queer artists and helping their work reach the right audience. Our focus is on visibility, discovery, and meaningful connection between artists and admirers of their work.
Does Queer Art sell artwork directly on the website?
No. Queer Art is no longer a sales platform. The website is designed to help artists present their work, build visibility, and connect with people who want to follow their practice.
What is the Artist Portal?
The Artist Portal is a private area where participating artists can manage how their works appear on Queer Art. Inside the portal, artists can review their listed works, hide or republish pieces, update their public links, and submit requests to add new work.
How do I get access to the Artist Portal?
Access is provided directly by the Queer Art team. If you have been invited, you can sign in using the email linked to your artist profile. A one-time login code will be sent to your email address.
How can I update my Instagram or website link?
If you have access to the Artist Portal, you can update your Instagram URL and website URL directly in your personal dashboard. These links help visitors discover more about your practice outside the platform.
How do I request the addition of a new artwork?
Inside the Artist Portal, use the submission button in your dashboard to open the artwork request form. Once submitted, the Queer Art team will review your request and prepare the work for publication on the site.
Can I hide one of my artworks from public view?
Yes. In the Artist Portal, each listed work includes an action button that allows you to hide it from the site or publish it again later. This gives you flexibility to control which works are currently visible.
What does the Views number mean in my dashboard?
The Views count shows how many times a specific artwork page has been opened on the site. It is tracked separately for each artwork, so every work has its own individual view count.
Can I use the platform if I do not yet have a website?
Yes. A personal website is optional. If you have Instagram or another active public profile, you can still use Queer Art to present your work and direct visitors to the place where you are most active.
Who should I contact if I need another update or support?
If you need help beyond the Artist Portal, please contact the Queer Art team through the contact form on the website. We will help with profile updates, submission questions, or general support related to your presence on the platform.
