Artists Community Guidelines

The Artists Community inside Queer Art is a shared space for connection, support, collaboration, and exchange between artists. By posting or replying in this space, you agree to keep the conversation respectful, constructive, and relevant to the community.

Core principles

  • Treat other artists with respect, even when you disagree.
  • Keep conversations thoughtful, relevant, and supportive.
  • Use the space to introduce yourself, share ideas, discuss collaborations, post news, and exchange opportunities.

Not allowed

  • Insults, harassment, threats, hate speech, or discriminatory language.
  • Personal attacks, bullying, intimidation, or attempts to shame other members.
  • Spam, repeated self-promotion, or irrelevant commercial advertising.
  • Posting private or confidential information about another person without permission.
  • Content that is abusive, defamatory, unlawful, sexually exploitative, or clearly harmful to the community.

Collaboration and feedback

  • Be clear and honest when inviting others into a collaboration.
  • Give feedback in good faith and in a way that is useful, not demeaning.
  • Respect boundaries, credit creative work properly, and do not copy or reuse someone else’s work without permission.

Moderation

  • Queer Art may edit, hide, or remove posts or replies that violate these guidelines or do not fit the purpose of the space.
  • Repeated or serious violations may lead to restricted access to the Artists Community or Artist Portal.

If you are unsure

If you are unsure whether something is appropriate, choose the more respectful and considerate version before posting.

In short: be kind, be constructive, and help make this a space where artists can connect safely and meaningfully.
