He/ Him
Aidan Dawson is a queer multimedia artist and Fine Art graduate from rural England, currently based in Cumbria. Through the use of upcycled materials and surreal, often bizarre imagery, Dawson explores personal narratives shaped by his experiences as a gay man growing up in the English countryside.
Inspired by collage artists, queer contemporary cinema, and the vivid perception of his neurodivergent perspective, his art combines playfulness and emotional depth. Beneath the bright, whimsical surface of his works lie reflections on identity, isolation, and the complexity of queer existence outside urban spaces. Dawson’s creations balance tenderness and darkness, inviting viewers to look beyond aesthetics and engage with the raw, authentic stories that shape queer life in contemporary Britain.
