Ame Blary is a queer photographer whose practice unfolds at the intersection of politics and intimacy. Rooted in lived experience and social engagement, his work approaches photography as both testimony and transformation. Trained in social work and sexual health, and formerly working as a special needs teacher, Blary brings a deeply human and ethical dimension to his artistic language. His images create spaces of resistance, care, and visibility for marginalised bodies and identities—foregrounding tenderness as a political act.

Militant and unapologetically queer, Blary understands the body as a living territory: shaped by struggle, marked by fatigue and metamorphosis, yet also radiant with desire, pleasure, and collective memory. Orange—his signature color—runs through his compositions as a pulse of queer vitality, symbolising singularity, defiance, and freedom.
