Cady Fick is a South African multidisciplinary artist based in Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth). Working across painting, printmaking and sculpture, she centres the lived experiences of women and queer people, drawing on personal experience as both visual language and material.

Her practice resists simplified representations of queer intimacy, holding space for tenderness, embodiment and the quiet complexity of connection. Through tactile processes and attentive figuration, Fick creates images in which softness becomes a form of presence and queer relationships are allowed to remain fully human.
