He/Him
Youssef El Khoueiry is a Lebanese multidisciplinary artist, filmmaker, and researcher based in Beirut. Working across film, animation, digital drawing, and moving image, his practice examines queer representation, identity, memory, technology, and the ways visual culture shapes bodies and desire.
Combining research with experimentation, El Khoueiry moves between cinematic narratives, animated sequences, digital illustration, and conceptual image-making. His work traces the overlap between popular imagery, personal experience, and social reality, using shifting visual languages to question how images organise the ways we see ourselves and others. Alongside his artistic practice, he is pursuing a PhD on the gendering of artificial intelligence in cinema and society.
