Synthetic Khrōm — No gender

Synthetic Khrōm — No gender

Synthetic Khrōm — No gender imagines identity before form, category, or social expectation. In this self-portrait video still, Derek Eros presents Khrōm as a synthetic, almost liquid presence dissolving into blue light. The body becomes less a fixed container than a shifting field of consciousness, free to move beyond gender and imposed definitions.

Through its cyberpunk atmosphere, distorted texture, and futuristic visual language, the work explores identity as a conscious and playful act of self-creation. Gender is not rejected so much as released from permanence, allowing the self to remain fluid, sovereign, and continuously evolving.
