The Carlisle Gaze follows Peetah, a young queer individual navigating life in rural Carlisle. Through puppetry, projection, and theatre, the work explores queerness, identity, and belonging in a countryside setting. Handcrafted puppets with distinct personalities inhabit a colourful yet unsettling world, inviting viewers to reflect on how queer stories are seen, shared, and understood.
