Aido Akida is a queer multidisciplinary artist based in Berlin whose practice explores power, consent, desire, fetish, and BDSM culture. Trained in Fine Arts and Applied Arts with a specialisation in painting, Akida holds both a BA and an MA from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Over the past eight years in Berlin, their work has continued to evolve across a range of media.
Akida’s artistic practice is deeply informed by their experience as a professional Dominant. Rather than treating BDSM as spectacle, the work approaches it as a complex language of trust, negotiation, intimacy, and self-expression. Through this perspective, Akida challenges misconceptions surrounding fetish culture and creates space for experiences that are frequently misunderstood, marginalised, or excluded from mainstream representation.
