He/ Him
Azure Kim is a visual artist and preservice art educator whose work blends traditional and digital techniques to explore themes of identity, memory, and queer experience. He primarily works with colored pencil and graphite portraits, while also creating digital paintings and animations inspired by his life, including Taekwondo and his journey as a trans individual.
Influenced by anime and video game aesthetics, Azure often incorporates fan art and character design into his creative process. His work has been exhibited at the Massillon Museum of Art, published in Inklings magazine, and one of his digital portraits was nominated for the American Vision Award in Northeast Central Ohio. He is currently developing an animation as part of a larger project titled Unfolding Stories.
