Ferg Cooper

He/ Him

Ferg Cooper is a visual artist working primarily in painting, drawing, and photography. His Queer Pop Art is rooted in queer theory and blends life drawing with horror themes and comic book tropes. Influenced by Francis Bacon and David Hockney, his work often combines idealised male bodies with bold colour palettes and cartoon imagery to explore queer existence within a heteronormative society.

Ferg graduated from Central Saint Martins in 2017 with an MA in Fine Art. He has participated in residencies including the Florence Trust and 'Plop', and has exhibited across London and the UK, including Tate Exchange, Menier Gallery, and San Mei.
