Verity Waterfield (they/she) is a queer photographer from Stroud, currently based between Gloucestershire and Bristol. Their practice is rooted in personal and emotional experience, using photography as a way to create meaningful connections with viewers who may recognise aspects of themselves in the work.
Waterfield is the creator of Aqueerance, a fashion magazine dedicated to the queer community. Their recent project, Enigma, takes a collaborative and sociological approach to portraiture. Working closely with participants, Waterfield combines portraits with intimate details to reflect each person as honestly and thoughtfully as possible. Through this process, individual stories emerge with care, giving visibility to identity, experience, and the complexity of queer lives.
