Mint Condition
Mint Condition borrows the language of luxury, desirability and immaculate presentation to examine how bodies are assigned value. The work frames attraction as a premium service: polished, expensive and deliberately difficult to access.
Part of The Stripe-tease Club, the painting turns commercial codes into a queer visual joke with a sharper edge. Beneath its controlled surface lies a question about who is allowed to define desirability, and what happens when identity is packaged for consumption.
