Archan Mukherjee is a photographer whose work explores non-normativity through a visual language deeply rooted in the socio-cultural legacy of Bengal, a central force in the Indian Renaissance. His images draw on this history while questioning established social norms and political narratives.

Mukherjee’s photography gives visibility to marginalised and often unheard communities, including queer people. Moving between struggle and hope, his work documents pain, resistance, dreams, and collective victories, presenting photography as both testimony and celebration.
