Sorrel Stone

Sorrel Stone is a sculptor and ceramic artist who grew up in Connecticut’s dairy farming region and currently teaches at the University of Toledo. They hold an MFA from Syracuse University and a BFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art. Stone is also a co-founder of the Trans Inclusive Ceramics Collective and has participated in The Center for Craft’s Teaching Artist Cohort.

Their work has been exhibited widely across North America, including at the Archie Bray Foundation and Art Basel Miami. Stone is a Regina Brown Fellow through NCECA and was a finalist for the 2024 Yasha Young Sculpture Award. Their practice has also been recognised in selections highlighting leading contemporary sculptors and ceramic artists bringing new perspectives to the medium.
