pink is for girls, blue is for boys (magenta and black)

pink is for girls, blue is for boys (magenta and black)

pink is for girls, blue is for boys (magenta and black) challenges the gendered rules imposed on clothing, toys and everyday objects from childhood. Woven from fragmented images and saturated in magenta, the composition reflects how marketing separates products into rigid categories for men and women while excluding non-binary and intersex identities. By disrupting these familiar visual codes, the work rejects the idea that certain clothes or forms of self-expression are inherently “right” or “wrong” for a particular gender. It presents clothing instead as a genderless space for identity, autonomy and personal choice.
