Bara Palcik

Visual artist and painter in Dublin

Bara Palcik is a Czech-born visual artist based in Dublin, working primarily with oil painting and experimental moving image. A graduate of Fine Art at TU Dublin and the MFA programme at the National College of Art and Design, she develops intimate portraits and figurative scenes shaped by memory, desire and the need to belong. Palcik returns repeatedly to the human face and the female body, approaching them as sites where vulnerability, sexuality and personal history meet. Queerness enters her practice not as a fixed subject but as an evolving way of looking—at romance, connection and the unstable space between lived experience, recollection and imagination.
