Self-Portrait II
In this second self-portrait, a bra both reveals and withholds the body, turning an everyday garment into a boundary between exposure and privacy. Palcik continues her study of female form, sensuality and self-recognition through a restrained monochrome palette. With colour removed, contour, posture and presence take priority. The work finds quiet power in partial visibility: the body is available to the gaze, but never entirely surrendered to it.
