Back
Back centres a muscular figure viewed from behind, surrounded by radiating strips of manipulated canvas. The body appears monumental but also opened to the viewer’s gaze, complicating familiar associations between strength and invulnerability. Gold and dark ribbons extend beyond the painted surface, turning the figure’s presence into a physical field. Mohr uses the rear view to explore exposure, desire and the unseen histories carried by the body.
