Empty Box 2
Empty Box 2 presents a standing figure whose head is replaced by an open rectangular frame. A harness crosses the torso while a candle-like vertical element rises through the centre, giving the assemblage the atmosphere of a private ritual. The empty box withholds a fixed identity, inviting projection while resisting recognition. Through the tension between exposure and concealment, the work considers how queer bodies are framed, disciplined and made visible.
