Figures
Figures assembles painted studies of the muscular body into a large visual archive. Repeated poses, cropped silhouettes and shifting skin tones refuse the idea of a single ideal form, replacing it with a chorus of embodied possibilities. The grid recalls both classical study and contemporary image culture, while the repetition exposes how masculinity is rehearsed, observed and desired. The work turns looking into an inquiry about power, beauty and queer representation.
