Le Poids
In Le Poids (The Weight), the body bends beneath a pressure that is felt before it is named. Drawn from Tejeda’s Summer Blues series, the figure’s curved posture holds nostalgia, resistance and desire within the same physical gesture.
The surrounding blue becomes almost material—a weight pressing across the back—yet the figure does not collapse. Strength here is not rigidity but endurance, while softness becomes the means through which the body continues to carry what cannot be set down.
