Submergé
Submergé (Submerged) imagines overwhelm as an atmosphere that enters and surrounds the body. The male figure appears suspended in the deep blue space of Tejeda’s Summer Blues series, balancing vulnerability with the instinct to survive.
While pressure pulls downward, the figure’s hair rises like an extension of body and spirit, reaching towards air. This upward movement transforms stillness into resistance and frames queer endurance as something fluid, fragile and insistently alive.
