He/him
Jorge Tejeda, also working as La Línea el Cuerpo, is a Peruvian-born artist and architect based in Montreal, Canada. Through drawing and digital illustration, he approaches the male body as a site of emotion, memory and queer self-definition. His figures move between strength and tenderness, undoing fixed ideas of masculinity through intimate gesture, colour and stillness.
Self-taught as an artist, Tejeda brings an architect’s attention to line, structure and spatial tension. His work treats masculinity as fluid and vulnerable rather than monolithic, allowing desire, solitude and sensitivity to coexist. Following his first solo exhibition in 2022, he has presented work in group exhibitions in Canada and internationally.
