Waiting Midnight

Waiting Midnight holds a male figure in the charged interval before arrival. Reclining within an ethereal landscape, he waits for a person, an event or a future that remains outside the frame. Sea, sky and desert collapse into one unstable horizon.

The yellow field evokes heat and exposed sunlight, while a distant red circle becomes both sun and point of orientation. Part of the Yellow — Thin Air series, the work turns waiting into a psychological space where desire, solitude and hope remain unresolved.
