Anti-Age Pride
Anti-Age Pride confronts ageism within LGBTQIA+ spaces and asks who is excluded when Pride celebrates only youth. Created as part of an imagined campaign for Barcelona Pride, the illustration places an older queer person at the centre, joyful, visible and unapologetic. By combining direct political language with a playful, celebratory image, the work rejects the marginalisation of ageing bodies and identities. It argues that a truly intersectional Pride must recognise older queer people not as figures from the past, but as active protagonists of the community’s present and future.
