Fat Positive Pride
Fat Positive Pride challenges fatphobia within LGBTQIA+ spaces and asks who is left out when Pride celebrates only bodies that conform to narrow beauty standards. Created as part of an imagined campaign for Barcelona Pride, the illustration places a fat body at the centre as strong, visible and unapologetic. Through a playful yet assertive visual language, the work rejects shame and tokenism, insisting that body diversity must be part of any truly inclusive queer politics. It argues that there is no real Pride without intersectionality, and no intersectionality without fat liberation.
