Anti-Racist Pride
Anti-Racist Pride confronts racism within LGBTQIA+ spaces and questions who Pride truly represents when racialised queer people remain marginalised. Created as part of an imagined campaign for Barcelona Pride, the illustration places a queer person of colour at the centre as a confident and unapologetic protagonist. Through humour, bold typography and a deliberately direct visual language, the work rejects tokenism and insists that anti-racism must be fundamental to queer liberation. It argues that Pride cannot be genuinely inclusive unless it actively challenges racism within both society and the LGBTQIA+ community itself.
