Orgullo LGTBIQ+
Orgullo LGTBIQ+ was created as a visual response to the official poster of Madrid Pride, questioning how queer identities are represented when Pride becomes part of an institutional and commercial narrative. Through symbols associated with LGBTQ+ history, sexuality and nightlife — the reclaimed pink triangle, the rainbow wristband, condoms, beer and high heels — the work shifts attention back to real queer bodies and lived experience. It explores Pride not simply as celebration, but as resistance, memory and visibility. By reclaiming symbols once associated with stigma and persecution, the painting turns the body into a political space and transforms what was once used to shame queer people into a statement of identity and pride.
