Chemsex

Chemsex examines the intersection of pleasure, risk and vulnerability within certain spaces of gay nightlife. Presented as a still life of used containers, packaging and chemical substances, the work replaces the human body with the traces it leaves behind. Desire, escape and loneliness converge in a scene that feels both intimate and emotionally distant. Avoiding moral judgment, the painting reflects on the complex realities behind queer hedonism and the fragile boundary between connection, dependency and isolation.
