Second Coming

Second Coming depicts a trans man supported by his mother during his transition, presenting gender affirmation as an act of rebirth, care and self-reclamation. The composition draws on Christian iconography associated with resurrection, transforming the idea of a “second coming” into a deeply personal image of becoming. The scars beneath the chest and the colours of the trans flag speak to both vulnerability and strength, while the maternal gesture introduces tenderness, protection and love. The work reflects on transition not only as a physical process, but as a powerful affirmation of identity, dignity and a second life lived more truthfully.
